It may be confusing to differentiate between the many types of lip products that get released and are recommended. Here’s some tips to help you choose the right one:

      • Lip gloss is a classic, as it gives your lips a glossy finish and a hint of color.
      • Lip oils have similar effects to a lip gloss, but they primarily concentrate on providing hydration to keep your lips soft and supple.
      • Lip balms are mainly formulated to hydrate your lips and relieve chapped or dry lips. However, with the new cosmetic lip balms, they can also add a hint of color and shine to your lips as you wear them.

And yes, it may be confusing with the plethora of makeup products and the 10-step processes. Everybody has their own makeup routine that works for them so pick and choose from the recommendations and see how it fits on your skin.

As for Rennie, during a typical day, she’ll use concealer, blush, powder, highlight, and lip products – all less than 15 minutes to apply. However, for a night out, she will go ALL out with a foundation or skin tint, concealer, liquid/cream blush, liquid/cream bronzer, pressed powder, loose powder, brows, mascara, eyeshadow, contour, powder blush, powder contour, highlight, and then lip products! If you’re like me and tend to be lazy about makeup or short on time, go with a simple routine – I like to use a concealer, setting powder, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara and a lip product – all in less than 10 minutes!
